first & last

My, oh my, how much the K-kiddos have grown and matured over the course of the school year.  First and third grade were highly anticipated and now have come to an end.   

This morning, on our last drive to day care of this school year, I asked them how they felt about their day ahead.  

K-girl simply replied, "good." 

The boy said, "Freedom. Sadness."   As rough and tough as he is on the outside, he is so sweet and sensitive in his heart.   His current teacher is moving to another school within the district and his second grade teacher is retiring.  They've impacted his little life and helped him bloom in so many ways.  

They are growing up so quickly.  But, I know they are blossoming into such beautiful souls.
