Oh yes, love is in the air. And on the walls. And in bags. And in cards. And in my heart.I love Valentines Day. I could very well celebrate it each and every day, just by taking in the joy of the love of my family and its everyday joy. Love everyday.
This wall hanging was inspired by two very important folks in my life --- T, my dear friend, and K-boy, my son. T inspired the use of felt and the son inspired the colors of this creation. His coloring page, filled with lots of bright hues of blue, purple, orange, green and turquoise won first place in the first-grade contest. Thus, came this little creation --- simple felt hearts stitched with floss, stuffed and dancing on a skewer, complete with colorful buttons. It is quite a lovely reminder of how colorful our own hearts are.
I plan to celebrate the day by "love bug" treats for the kiddos and making it a day filled with hearts --- eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, pizza, doodling, toys. Then, we'll head to the park or lake with the kiddos to take in some of this lovely winter sunshine.
Enjoy your day and celebrate love.
