testing

Today, my fourth-grade son, along with other fourth-graders statewide, will be taking the writing portion of the STAAR test.  

I have never been a proponent for standardized testing within the public school system.  I know there has to be something for which to set the educational standards, but I do not support teaching the test, which is what our schools seem to be doing.
